Lance began working various construction jobs in Montana in 1995 where he found a passion for development which led him to some very unique and special opportunities in the real estate development and construction world.
His first experience of stripping concrete forms in the summer of '95 was an introduction to hard physical labor and the joy of building something with his own hands. He eventually learned to form and pour foundations and spent the next several years doing foundations, finish work, as well as working on a framing crew.
This passion propelled him to excel in his scholastic learning, graduating Magna Cum Laude with a B.S. in Construction Management from BYU-Idaho, which played a large part in being recruited by many national residential developers where he later found a home, with Texas-based Centex Homes. Serving as a Field Manager, Lance and his co-workers often found themselves to be amongst the highest customer rated neighborhoods in the Inland Empire where Centex was currently the #1 rated builder. After gaining valuable experience from large scale residential building projects, Lance moved in to commercial construction management where he worked on numerous high school and university facilities.
In 2010, LM Cox was formed and Lance began performing both residential and commercial projects but found a golden opportunity consulting at Disneyland. He spent the next five plus years working on various Disney projects including rides, attractions, hotels, and culminating in the remodel and expansion of the new Club 33, with a new state of the art kitchen, dining, jazz lounge, glass elevator, support facilities and more.
Upon completion of Club 33, Lance began to look for projects back home in Montana and found the first in The Aspens, a 56 unit townhome development, with partner Bryan Beauchamp. Lance also continued to build custom and semi-custom homes in Missoula.
LM Cox is currently working on several custom homes at the Ranch Club ranging from 1,800 to 5,200 square feet and a very high end and secluded neighborhood with river access to the Clark Fork. We are part of a 152 lot subdivision with single family and townhome products that is just getting started and also have several lots to build on at 44 Ranch. We are also in the planning stages of two small and one large multi-family projects. Please see the projects page for more information.
